Skills-based Learning across the Curriculum.

Primary and secondary schools across the country are creating curricula that focus on the development of skills. The term “ skills-based” curriculum has come to mean many things in different contexts, but there is an essential core to all successful curricula. This conference will examine that core and look at ways of extending skills within a dynamic curriculum that meets the needs of learners right across the primary and secondary phases.

This conference will focus on:

• putting skills at the heart of the curriculum
• balancing skills, knowledge and understanding
• locating skills development in a range of contexts that ensure breadth and balance
• building and recognising skills progression across the curriculum

At this conference, there will be opportunity to hear about the latest thinking, see examples of innovation in action and to meet fellow practitioners who share your interest and commitment.
